The Business Model
Acazis AG produces edible peanut oil and animal cake. Castor plants
and
peanuts are being cultivated on our leased fields in Ethiopia.
Nature-Oriented Activities
We cultivate plants in alignment with the local natural environment. Acazis AG has signed
long-term leasing agreements for the land area required to this extent. Virgin land areas
are re-cultivated to provide growing space for our robust non-food plants. We use water
carefully, knowing that it is a scarce resource. Acazis AG preserves the flora and fauna,
refrains from monocropping and contributes to avoiding global warming with its carefully
developed concept.

We cultivate plants without damaging the natural environment and as a support for humanity.
Acazis AG strikes the balance between multiple interests with its activities. While fighting the
poverty of the local citizens with labor-intensive agricultural work and the revenues from castor
beans and peanut oil, we also help developing infrastructures that support the citizens in becoming independent. Thanks to its thorough non-food characteristics, castor beans do not affect the market mechanisms of the food products sector, in line with our “food comes first” philosophy. This approach enables us to provide a basis for securing the availability of food in development regions.
